This Live Free Armory LF19 Chamfered Series Pistol Slide is only compatible with Gen 1-3 Glock 19 model pistols.

No. The Vortex Venom uses a Docter/Noblex optic footprint. You would need a slide that is compatible with Gen 5 Glock 19 model pistols that uses a Docter slide cut. I would recommend the TRYBE Defense Glock 19 Pistol Slide, found by using the link below:

Just to be sure, is this slide a 1-for-1 replacement for a Glock 19? Also, are the top 2 holes tapped for ready installation of a red dot?

Look for the slide that has RMR cut in the title. This picture is a placeholder for the non cut version of this slide. The slide that is cut for an optic has hole that are tapped already. It is a replacement slide for the Gen 3 Glock 19. You will need the completion parts, a barrel, recoil spring assembly and sights.
