Yes, these are cut to allow for piston systems, including the Adams Arms one.

I converted my AR upper to the piston "Adams Arms" makes it is the mid length type, be prepared to grind some plastic off the Magpul Slim Fit line of handguards the standard handguards made by Magpul will fit w/o modification.
