These handguards and all of Magpul's AR handguards are meant specifically for AR-15 small frame rifles. It may fit your DPMS LR-308, but it may require some fitting as its meant for a smaller rifle.

The Magpul Industries MOE SL Carbine Length AR-15/M4 M-LOK Handguard will not work with the Savage Patrol. This Magpul Industries MOE SL Carbine Length AR-15/M4 M-LOK Handguard fits carbine length gas systems and the Savage Patrol has a midlength gas system. You will need the model at the link below.

The Magpul Industries MOE SL Carbine Length AR-15/M4 M-LOK Handguard is compatible with carbine length gas systems with the following specifications. The MOE SL Hand Guard - Carbine-Length is a direct replacement for M4 Carbine-type plastic, two-piece hand guards and utilizes the existing round front hand guard retaining cap and rear spring-loaded delta ring. Not compatible with piston operated AR platforms.
