The Magpul Industries PMAG LR/SR GEN M3 Magazine will not be compatible with a Springfield M1A. You will need to use an M1A specific magazine, such as the Springfield Armory M1A .308 Winchester/7.62mm NATO 5 Round Box Magazine which can be found by using the link below:
