Will this attach to an A2 buttstock sling loop?

Yes. The Magpul Industries Paraclip will work on an A2 buttstock sling loop. It is also compatible with the ASAP, RSA, M-LOK Paraclip Sling Mount, shotgun Forward Sling Mounts and SGA Receiver Sling Mounts and many other clip-in sling attachment points.

Yes. The Magpul Industries Paraclip will work on the Strike Industries angled sling loop. It is also compatible with the ASAP, RSA, M-LOK Paraclip Sling Mount, shotgun Forward Sling Mounts and SGA Receiver Sling Mounts and many other clip-in sling attachment points.

How does this attach? Will it attach to the holes on a Hogue overmold collapsible buttstock?

It attaches to a loop. An adapter that can be used with the QD holes on the Hogue stock can be found at the link below:
