The above answer is not correct. This is a standard length buffer tube and accepts the standard length JP Captured spring assembly. I have one in mine.

Yes, this is compatible with standard carbine buffer systems, please note that JP does sell an SCS for different lines of buffer tube, so be sure of which model you are purchasing
