SB items may or may not fit the Maxim tube.

Yes. If you do that, you're essentially building the Maxim Defense PDW package. The SBPDW housing is made by Macim Defense, and is the exact same thing as the Maxim Defense CQB housing, but without the QD sling swivels milled in. All of the parts are interchangeable.
