Yes, the SBPDW is just the Maxim Defense CQB housing but without the QD holes; beyond that, they have the exact same dimensions. This tube will secure the SBPDW housing to the receiver, but it is shorter than the tube that comes with the SBPDW. This tube will require the shorter Maxim Defense CQB buffer and spring; a standard carbine buffer and spring will be too long.

Maxim Defense Industries does not provide the exact length of their CQB Buffer Tube. I would recommend contacting them directly for more information.

No, you do not need a new BCG. It does not come with a spring or buffer.
