Yes, it should, and you may need to mess around with different buffer weights depending on how your AR is set up in regards to caliber, barrel length, ammo, gas system, etc.

I've read that for 9mm you need to use a Standard carbine weight buffer, and not the 9mm buffer when using this with the Echo2. They recommend using the JP SCS Standard/Rifle buffer & spring
