Will this fit a Rock Island FS A1 1911 stainless model? Will I need to recut the slide to fit this or will the Rock Island front cut work with this?

Yes, this front sight will be compatible. You will not need to modify your slide, minor fitting may be needed but any modifications will be made to the sight rather than the pistol's slide.

It is meant to fit Rock Island Tac 1911 FS .45 ACP single stack models, but Meprolight does not provide exact dimensions.
