Does this fit models with the bayonet lug? I see conflicting information saying if it’s both with and without banner and some sage us without?

Yes it does. However, you will not be able to use a bayonet with this hand guard.

The Midwest Industries SIG 516 Extended Free Float M-LOK Handguard is not compatible with Sig 716 model rifles. I would recommend the Lancer Replacement Handguard for Sig 716 which can be found by using the link below:

I would like to add a vertical grip, but what is on the bottom of the handguard? Is there mlok or pit?

it is mlok there is one pic rail section that comes with the rail.

Is this the new version that works on Sig516 with a bayonet lug?

The pics show the version that goes over where the lug is, with a bayonet lug it will be crooked. Do what I did and cut the lower part of the gas block and lug off with a havksaw and it will let the rail mate how it’s supposed to

Is this a simple swap out, or do I need additional parts to make this work? i.e. can I just take off the old cheese grater and put this on...

It installs on the original factory barrel nut. no extra parts needed. it is a simple swap out.
