Is there enough room underneath to mount a Magpul Pro BUIS Rear sight?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on April 18, 2022

There should be enough clearance to allow for a rear BUIS sight to fit folded underneath the optic. However, the Monstrum P330 Marksman 3X Prism Scope requires the optic to be mounted further to the rear because of the 3" - 3.5" of eye relief. Using a backup iron sight would require you to press your head (uncomfortably) further forward to use the optic. This also has an etched reticle, so if the battery were to die, you can still see your reticle. I would recommend using offset iron sights if you are looking for a backup option.

Can this mount on a carry handle?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on March 17, 2022

The Monstrum P330 Marksman 3X Prism Scope uses a standard picatinny/1913 mount. So to mount this on an AR15 carrying handle, you would need a picatinny rail adapter. You can find one by using the following link:

I suggest you contact the manufacturer to get the most precise answer, especially since so far you've waited two months for this one.

It's very rare that an intermediate cartridge like 7.62x39 will ruin any optic. It's usually only slide riding pistol red dots and magnum bolt actions that you see any significant issues. Without any experience with this optic, I can assure you that this will work, and if not the warranty will cover a mild case like yours.
