A standard AR pistol grip will not fit without modification of the grip which we do not recommend unless done by a professional.

Yes, you can swap out the A2-style grip that comes with this with any AR grip of your choice. Some modification (sanding/trimming/whatever) may be required in the beaver-tail area of the grip for the best fit, however. Simple to do.
