we have our home heated with propane. can this heater be connected to a propane jet outlet line that is in our garage

The manufacturer does not provide that information. I recommend contacting Mr. Heater to determine if the Mr. Heater Vent-Free Propane Garage Heater can be used with your Propane outlet line.

How much gas does it burn per hour day at 70 F?

The Mr. Heater Vent-Free Propane Garage Heater has a maximum run time of 14.39 hours at the maximum BTU output with the use of a 20# Propane Cylinder.

is gas line in 1/2" or 3/4"

This should take a 3/8" part for the inlet. This is what the directions state.

WARNING: This appliance requires a 3/8” NPT (National Pipe Thread) inlet connection to the pressure
regulator.
