The NcStar Ar15 Detachable Carry Handle was designed to work in conjunction with an AR15 fixed front sight. Please email us at Techsales@opticsplanet.com and let us know what rifle you intend to mount this too. That way we can better recommend a front sight for your setup.

Is this NcStar carry handle mil spec because from my understanding if not the adjustments will be off by mil spec settings chart

Yes, if your XM15 has a standard Picatinny rail on top of the upper receiver then this will mount to the Picatinny rail.
