Do the scope and red dot both include protective lens covers?

Only the red dot will come with a rubber cover to protect the entire red dot.

Yes, as long as you have a full length top rail on the receiver.

Can this handle a .338?

I would advise against using this optic on a .338 Lapua if you are concerned with it dealing well with the recoil of a caliber that large.

Yes, the reticle is still visible even when not illuminated.
