Yes, this should work fine even at 2000 yards. In addition to having the requisite magnification, the glass quality is high enough to keep the image clear at that magnification as well.

Using a 30 moa rail, will this have enough adjustment to zero at 50 yards.

30 MOA of taper in your rail will not allow you to zero at 50 yards. The Competition 15-55x52mm has 55 MOA of overall elevation adjustment. In order to zero it at 50 yards, you will need to use a rail with less taper, such as a 20 MOA rail.

Will this scope hold up to a barrett m82a1 if so what height on rings

Yes, it will. All of our optics are built with the same durability in mind. All of our optics are impacted to over 1250 Spike G's. We run the same inspection and checklist on ALL of our optics to ensure they all stand up to the Nightforce name. The ring height you would want is 1.5" on this setup. However, on that gun, the rail already has 27 MOA of taper and this optic has limited dialing adjustment (55 MOA) so you would potentially have to zero past 100yds as the general rule of thumb is to not exceed half of the overal travel if you want to zero at 100yds and this setup would put you extremely close to that.

There are a number of rimfire competitors using this optic. The limiting factor is going to be if you need a lower minimum parallax distance than 25 yards.

Made in USA?

Manufacturer Answer
A
Answered by NightForce, Manufacturer from GA, United States, on February 02, 2022

A portion of our optics offerings are engraved as "Developed, Assembled, Verified in USA" and others are engraved as "Made in Japan." The reason for the different "Made in" designations is due to the country of origin of the primary core components of the optics. We have worked with a Japanese firm since our earliest days, as they have proven time and again to be industry leaders in optical design and manufacturing. It has always been Nightforce's goal to build the best optics in the world, and we know that our Japanese affiliates assist us in doing so. With that said, all final assembly and quality assurance testing is conducted in our factory in North Central Idaho.
