Yes, this is a Gen 1 night vision unit.
No it will not.
I would recommend emailing us at techsales@opticsplanet.com to help you further.
Yes they can.
Yes, as long as you have a night vision shroud, this should work: https://www.opticsplanet.com/agm-global-vision-helmet-mount-g50s-for-shroud.html
If the helmet in question has a shroud on it, you can use this: https://www.opticsplanet.com/agm-global-vision-helmet-mount-g50s-for-shroud.html. If it is a MICH or PASGT helmet with no shroud, you can use this: https://www.opticsplanet.com/agm-global-vision-helmet-mount-g50mp-for-mich-and-pasgt-helmets.html
Unfortunately NightStar has not provided a waterproof rating for this item, even on their own site. We recommend contacting them directly, they should be able to provide you with that information. You can reach them here: http://www.nightstaroptics.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=4
44° per NightStar specifications.
This night vision unit may help see targets in the dark depending on the distance and atmospheric conditions or whether you are using an IR illuminator. Please be very aware that prism red dots have a very specific eye relief and this binocular will almost definitely not work with a prism red dot because it will push your eyes farther than the prism scopes eye relief.
It is not a blacklight because that is UV light. The illuminator may have a hint of color too it, but it should mostly be invisible to the naked eye. But the manufacturer makes no mention of what the specifications of the illuminator are so you would need to verify with them if it is a wavelength that can be seen as a red glow.
