If the firearm has Weaver/Warne/Picatinny-style bases it will fit. If it does not then it will not fit.

Will these rings work for mueller optics 8.5-25x50mm eraticator long range red dot riflescope. Do I need a base and if so what would you recommend?

No this will not fit. You would need a 1 inch ring set and high ring height for that scope.

will this fit on a Rimfire rifle?

The only Nikon A-Series rings that are rimfire are MPN: 16181 and they are 1 inch diameter, medium height. The rest will not unless the rimfire rifle has a weaver/picatinny style dovetail adapter.

Between 2.5-3 ounces depending on the low, medium or high height.

What are the height differences for these low, medium and high Nikon A-Series 1" Rings? Thanks. Vince

Nikon does not provide exact height specifications. They only provide the approximate scope objective lens size that the rings would work for. Those sizes are as follows:

Low:
Accommodates most 1" scopes with 20-36mm objective
Mfg Number: 16166

Medium
Accommodates most 1" scopes with 36-42mm objective
Mfg Number: 16167

High
Accommodates most 1" scopes with 42-52mm objective
Mfg. Number: 16168
