We highly recommend getting the EFR model of Nikon scopes or scopes specifically recommended for airguns.

How does the BDC work? Once sighted in at 100 yards, rifles calibers and bullet weights are going to have different trajectories, right?

Using Nikon's Spot-On app you will input the data regarding your barrel length and load, the app will provide you the distances the BDC holdovers correspond too.
