No, that has no impact on function. If you want it to be in the upright position though, you can use a crush washer or shim kit to time the muzzle device.

I wound up removing the crush washer that came with the KX5 and used the "Rex Silentium AR-15 Muzzle Lock Nut" instead. Now the Pig is right side up and perfectly lined up with my barrel. Couldn't be happier. Thanks for the feedback.
