There is no mention of why one is ambi and the other is right hand. Does the right hand model require the long lever placed on the left side, only?

Ambidextrous; ability to control safety selector from both (either) side of the weapon. Some of these allow you to place the lever of choice on the side you prefer. Some manufacturers offer multiple lever options for their selectors. The choice is large...
