No, this is built specifically for 5.56/.223 and will not work for 7.62x39.

I have been using this for my 7.62x39 build with out a single issue, has proven to be 100% reliable and I have enjoyed the chromed pivot bolt too. This really is a nice upgrade and would suggest it to anyone

This kit is not specifically designed to pair with 7.62x39. I have personally used this after I had light primer strikes with the pin that came with my Cryptic Coatings BCG and I replaced it with this. While my strike percentage improved it was not eliminated. Out of a 28 round mag, I found 8 rounds had light primer strikes, compared to the original which yielded around 50%. (Please notw 3 different types of ammo were tested) So incremental improvement is made with this, but I suggest swapping to a true 7.62x39 pin like Julia said.

Julia is incorrect... This firing pin will work with a BCG using a bolt designed for 7.62x39 ammo on an AR15 type platform.
