Is the firing pin slightly extended to work for steel case ammo?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on January 25, 2022

The Obsidian Arms AR-15 5.56 Enhanced Bolt Carrier Pin Kit is the same dimensions as a standard Mil-Spec firing pin and cam pin. This kit differs from a standard Mil-Spec firing pin and cam pin because it is made from 4340 Alloy steel which is stronger than Mil-Spec firing pins, this kit has also been heat treated and hard chromed for an easier cleanup and additional strength.
