These units are Gen 3 PVS-14's with Pinnacle tubes which are some of the highest quality offerings available on the market.

How exactly does it compare to a standard Gen 3 PVS-14 on the market in terms of performance?

Gen 3 Pinnacle tubes are cream of the crop units with some of the best low light performance available. A general rule to go by is if the manufacturer refers to the unit as "Pinnacle", you are paying for the best intensifier tube available.

No it does not, you'll need to buy a rail adapter, this night vision uses the same thread pattern and size as a camera so mounting it with a camera mount would work as well, but not recommended
