The Taurus 85 polymer frame is wider to take the pressure than steel frame model 85 but the polymer is still lighter than steel but is to wide for standard grips that fit steel frame model 85's so they will not fit. You have to look for the grips made for wider polymer model 85 taurus. This grip will not fit the polymer frame.

Taurus 85 polymer frames are wider to prevent fracture under pressure and the standard metal frame taurus model 85 are more narrow my reply is no they will not fit properly. if you compare the polymer against the steel frame you will notice a much thicker frame on the polymer.
