Hi, what kind of tool do I need to tighten the barrel nut. Is it difficult to achieve alignment between the holes on the barrel nut and the handguard. — 1 Answer

All you should need to mount the barrel nut is a torque wrench, a 1 1/8" crowfoot wrench, and some anti-seize lubricant on the barrel extension threads. During installation, you're going to torque the barrel nut on to 35 ft.-lbs., then loosen the barrel nut and re-torque it between 35-80 ft.-lbs. to line up with a gas tube hole at the 12 o'clock position. You don't have to hit 80 ft.-lbs., just get it past 35 ft.-lbs. and get it lined up after that. You might have to loosen and re-torque a couple times.
