Will this work for an AR 7.62x39 platform?

No. This SKU is only for the SIG716 rifles chambered in .308. For the AK-AR7.62x39 builds, you use a standard AR15 handle. Our models that would work are the Phase 5 ABL/CHA or the Phase 5 DLCH15.

Is this phase 5 wider than the stock charging handle ?

Yes, the latch is wider than the stock 716 handle so you will have more material to grab onto while charging the weapon system.

You know Sig makes a di Ar10 called the Sig 716i and they make Sig 716 Patrol which uses a proprietary ch because it is Piston. Which is this for?

The Sig Sauer 716 uses standard AR15/AR10 triggers and trigger springs and use small sized trigger pins. So the Triggertech Trigger will work.

I have the new 716i TREAD and bought one of these charging handles to replace the crappy factory charging handle. It didn't fit my 716i, so I called Phase 5 today and spoke with an extremely helpful gentleman. He told me that the SIG 716 and 716i are just enough different that the charging handles aren't completely interchangeable. The latest version of the Phase 5 CH will fit and they're sending me a replacement. I'll know more when the replacement arrives but the guys at Phase 5 seem to be very knowledgeable and helpful.
