Yes. They, are, adjustable and removable. I twisted mine to open on the left instead of the top so as not to block my refkex mounted on top.
Yes, Prism scopes are one of the best optic variants available for those affected by astigmatism. Prism optics use an etched reticle which makes the reticle easier to see and is less susceptible to distortion. Combined with an adjustable diopter, the etched reticle can be fine-tuned to fit the user’s prescription.
This Primary Arms SLx 5x36mm Gen III Prism Scope uses the ACSS 5.56/5.45/.308 Reticle which has BDC and ranging out to 800 yards with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, 5.45x39mm, and .308 Winchester. If you are using an AK pattern rifle chambered in 7.62x39, I would recommend the Primary Arms SLx 3x32 Compact Prism Sight which features an ACSS CQB 300 BLK/7.62x39 chevron reticle that has BDC and ranging out to 600 yards with supersonic 7.62x39mm. It can be found by using the link below:

Primary Arms does not provide torque specs for their SLx 5x36mm Gen III Prism Scope. I would recommend contacting them directly for more information.
The Primary Arms SLX 5x36mm Gen III Prism Scope mounts to picatinny rail. So if you have a picatinny rail base for the Ruger Mini 30 the Primary Arms SLX 5x36mm Gen III Prism Scope can be mounted and used with that rifle.
The Primary Arms SLX 5x36mm Gen III Prism Scope has an etched reticle. So the reticle including the chevron can be used without illumination.
The adjustment value for the Primary Arms SLx 5x36mm Gen III Prism Scope is 1/3 MOA or .33 MOA. The 3x prism scope is 1/4 | .25 MOA.
Structurally this optic will hold well with the 458 and I have used it on my 10.5in barrel with no problem. Functionally the BDC isn't calibrated for the 458, so some play with the reticle is required. The 458 Socom is characterized as a large mass round carrying high kinetic force with reduced travel distance, and was designed to more rapidly immobilized combatants in close quarter situations. I find the 5x magnification to be excessive and opted between the 1x - 4x range.
The warranty information has been revised all new purchases of Primary Arms optics are covered by a lifetime warranty.
