Can this scope be used during daylight?

Yes. Unit works some in daylight as it does in the dark.

Is the battery removable, sounds like you have to charge battery while it is in scope, no mention of battery type

The Pulsar Thermion 2 XQ35 Pro 2.5-10x Thermal Rifle Scope includes a rechargeable battery pack with charger. The battery is housed in the top turret and can be easily removed.
