The stock will fit with a different screw, but the forend will not work without modification.

I put this stock and forend on a 740 Woodsmaster. The forend fit with the factory bolt. It is a tight fit, without modification, it may touch the barrel which may impact harmonics and accuracy. The part of the buttstock that sets inside the receiver on the 7400 is about a 1/8th of an inch deeper than the 740, therefore I had to remove that material with a file to get a flush fit. It's not a perfect fit, and I don't have a range report yet, but I suspect this is the best option available in 2020 for this 60 year old rifle.
