The KrossFire bolt features a laser-cut steel firing pin and steel extractor to reduce failures to fire and failures to eject. The firing pin is also cross-pinned to restrict the vertical movement and strike the cartridges in a consistent manner, reducing misfires. Both of these parts are upgrades from the OEM stamped steel parts. You're also getting a polished, hardened tool steel bolt that has been CNC-machined to much more precise tolerances, resulting in precise headspace, increased reliability, and significantly smoother operation of the bolt and trigger.

Will it reduce the trigger pressure over the stock trigger pressure?

A
Answered by Brandon, member, from UT, United States, on December 23, 2020

The polished finish of the KrossFire gives the user a smoother trigger pull. While it doesn't change the weight of the trigger, smoothing it out can certainly make a difference in how the weight of the trigger feels.

Will this bolt reliably cycle subsonic ammunition ?

A
Answered by Brandon, member, from UT, United States, on December 23, 2020

The KrossFire is designed to improve the fitment and function of the bolt, firing pin, and extractor in the Ruger 10/22, regardless of the ammo being used. This is designed to reduce failures to fire and failures to eject. The firing pin is also cross-pinned to restrict the vertical movement and strike the cartridges in a consistent manner, reducing misfires. You're also getting a polished, hardened tool steel bolt that has been CNC-machined to much more precise tolerances, resulting in precise headspace, increased reliability, and significantly smoother operation of the bolt and trigger.

The Fire Starter is a titanium replacement firing pin that is a stronger than OEM part, intended as a replacement part for broken or deformed firing pins. Same thing with the Eagle's Talon, being a hardened steel machined replacement part.
