The KrossFire is designed to improve the fitment and function of the bolt, firing pin, and extractor in the Ruger 10/22, regardless of the ammo being used. This is designed to reduce failures to fire and failures to eject. The firing pin is also cross-pinned to restrict the vertical movement and strike the cartridges in a consistent manner, reducing misfires. You're also getting a polished, hardened tool steel bolt that has been CNC-machined to much more precise tolerances, resulting in precise headspace, increased reliability, and significantly smoother operation of the bolt and trigger.
