Yes, the Rival Arms Glock 17 Gen3/4 Precision Threaded Drop-in Barrel is compatible with a Gen 3 Glock 17.

The Rival Arms Glock 17 Gen3/4 Precision Threaded Drop-in Barrel works with Gen 3 and 4 Glock 17's. The GST-9 MOD1 is not compatible with Glock 17 slide assemblies. So the Rival Arms Glock 17 Gen3/4 Precision Threaded Drop-in Barrel will not work.

Is it black as shown in the picture or stainless steel (silver colored)?

The Rival Arms Glock 17 Gen3/4 Precision Threaded Drop-in Barrel model RA-RA20G102D is the Stainless PVD finish. However, the manufacturers pictures show it as a darker finish then traditionally Stainless Steel.

Do the threads stick out enough to thread on an agency comp? I purchased another brand and the barrel wasn’t long enough to work in the g17

The manufacturer does not state how of the barrel is threaded. I recommend contacting Rival Arms in regards to how much of the Rival Arms Glock 17 Gen3/4 Precision Threaded Drop-in Barrel is threaded for compatibility with that compensator.

All threaded barrels include a color-matching Rival Arms thread protector.
