If the adjustment screw is on the side, what is the front set screw for?

The front "Jam" set screw is to hold or jam the side adjustment screw from backing out. the Jam screw does not have to be overly tightened.

Is the adjustment for the gas at the front or the back of the gas block?

The gas adjustment is found on the side of the gas block using the small adjustment screw.

Answered my own question. Called Sadlak and was told it's to lock the adjustment screw in place.
