Review for
Power Mountain TallBoy Off-Road Jack
I needed a jack for a new trailer, as I had nothing that would start lifting at 25". After stacking wood 4x4's way too high and using a bottle jack to change a tire, I knew I needed something else. Optics Planet had the best price and service, so I bought the Tall Boy from them and could not be happier. Read the directions, there is a sleeve you must install before lifting with extensions. The Jack is solid, with a decent lifting range and the extensions fit well. the top adapter with "Bent Ears" fits the trailer frame rail quite nicely. The base for the jack is larger than most and is solid. Good buy for those who need to lift a vehicle that is higher than normal. Be aware that this kit is solid and the weight reflects this.

Fourth or Fifth one!
Written on Sep 20, 2024
So I'm on my 4th or 5th ROCS chassis. It works and it is basic. Nothing fancy, but it works and costs less. And for some reason two bolt guns in every caliber is more fun than one! Seriously, the chassis is rigid and provides a good free floating platform to build a nice bolt gun on. The only issue is with Howa actions. The chassis interferes with the closing of the bolt slightly. I like my Howa's better than my Remington 700's, so I have dealt with the issue a few times. Just a little clearancing and you are good to go on a Howa; the others fit fine. I do like the cheek rest adjustment; just place the correct insert on the chassis and you are done. The lack of adjustments is a benefit to the chassis. I find that adjustable stocks add a tiny bit of play to the chassis and this chassis is solid.

Good Red Dot
Written on May 09, 2024
This is my second Romeo5. The first one never got mounted; a buddy saw it, loved it and left with it. The FDE goes nicely with the FDE upper on my .458. Most importantly the Red Dot is visible during the day. Also, the sight is high enough that your eye will line up properly on an AR style platform. Red Dots that you can not see or that sit too low are nearly useless. The Romeo5 is useful, with nice clear glass. Might as well buy 2 of them and save on shipping. They will get used.

Excellent value, almost a 5 star product

This chassis is an excellent choice for your build. It is simple and to the point, which I like. The cheek riser is a set of snap in pieces that can be exchanged for different heights. I find this far superior to my chassis with a AR style (Luth)stock. The AR style adjustable stock has a bit play in it. The Trybe Chassis is very solid; there are no adjustments to loosen up. To change the length of pull, add or subtract spacers. To change the height of the cheek weld, exchange the piece. On my Howa 1500 build, the chassis does interfere with the full closing of the bolt; by a thousandth of an inch or so. While this did cost a star on the review, this is not a performance or safety issue and would not change my mind to purchase this chassis. I bought one for my Remington 700 .308 in FDE to compliment the Olive drab chassis on the 6.5 CM Howa.
