What is the difference between the "rifle" and the "pistol" stabilizing brace?

A
Answered by D Dubs Dos, member, from NC, United States, on February 28, 2025

Rifle has a stock made of rigid abs plastic or polymer and if barrel length less than 16” then it is SBR NFA item requiring a tax stamp. Pistol brace is pliable allowing to wrap around and be secured by Velcro strap for single handed operation and allowing for barrel lengths under 16” without registration as SBR and tax stamp.
