Ergonomic Rubber Overmold Grip
Written on Feb 10, 2026
Review for
Magpul Industries AR Rifles MOE-K2+ Grip
I love the rubber overmolding feature on this grip. I have three rifles with this grip because they just feel so good when I wrap my hand around them. The storage is very useful and the angle is just right to avoid fatigue. I would love if this grip was available without a beavertail.

Crisp and Very Ergonomical

Review for
Triggertech AR-15 Two Stage Duty Trigger
This trigger is easily installed and provides the perfect trigger shape to immediately find your index point without having to think about it. It has a very crisp break that's light enough to make precision shots while being heavy enough to avoid shooting before you're ready. The reset is short and tactile, aiding in fast follow-up shots when necessary. It is machined to very tight tolerances which allow for seamless integration into your AR build.

200+ grain is required
Written on Feb 10, 2026
I purchased these magazines to utilize with a black and FDE 300blk build with intentions to use 110gr Hornady Black ammunition. After experiencing feeding issues, I reached out to the manufacturer and was given some interesting information which was listed on this website in the Product Description section, but unnoticed it before purchasing - absolutely my own fault and no one else's. Just be aware that these magazines are only for 200+ grain 300blk ammunition. That being said, be aware that these magazines will slightly deform when loaded to capacity and cause the magazines to need slightly more force to insert into the mag well and seat properly. They are, however, pretty durable, ergonomic, and aesthetically pleasing.

A Decent Workaround
Written on Feb 10, 2026
Putting aside the fact this device should have never needed to be invented, it does its job very well. It is easy to install and seems pretty durable, at least for moderate use. It can become a bit cumbersome when removing for maintenance and cleaning but is not impossible. My one gripe with this device has to be the tolerances for varying magazine types. When switching magazine manufacturers and material, this device seems to need very minor adjusting to engage the magazine catch properly. Without adjustments the magazines either need a firm slap to seat properly or even not seat at all. This is not a deal breaker when you adjust it properly for whichever magazine type you prefer and let's face it - who doesn't need more magazines? For anyone contemplating purchasing this magazine locking kit I offer this tidbit of information: The last round bolt hold open (LRBHO) is lost when this device is installed.

Petzl Actik 450 Lumens Headlamp
After chatting with AI to hone in on the most durable headlamp that would fit my needs I was presented with the Petzl Actik as an option. Different brightness settings, a red light, adjustability, hybrid battery availability (rechargeable or standard), and the optimal lumen output, coupled with a price that doesn't break the bank, really made this a no-brainer. It held up very well through various weather conditions and temperatures, as well as surviving such things as accidental bumps against tree limbs while moving to my blind, being tossed onto tables and cots, and even a fall from about seven feet onto the ground which was covered in small stones, foliage, and branches from which it emerged unscathed. Rain was not an issue for this headlamp, and it continued to function flawlessly through colder temperatures in the early mornings. The only issue I experienced was no fault of this headlamp, but rather from my hunting party who thought it was funny to shine the light (on the highest setting of course) directly into everyone else's face while it was still pitch dark outside. I highly recommend this headlamp.

No Real Difference For Astigmatism - A Great Optic Nonetheless
Written on May 23, 2025
I chose this optic for a number of reasons. I chose the green dot for the minimized "starring" for people with astigmatism. Unfortunately, the 6 MOA green dot still has a lot of distortion (not enough to obstruct my view, but enough that it's easily noticeable). If you have astigmatism, and the option to look through this optic before you buy, make sure it will work for you. The battery located somewhere that didn't require removing the optic (in this case from the side) was an absolute must, so kudos to Holosun for making that decision. The installation was straight-forward, simple, and required only a small torque wrench to secure the optic properly (although the same results can be achieved without one, I already owned the Real Avid Torque Wrench), but everything else required for a successful/proper install was included. The glass is clear and big enough to comfortably utilize. The optic has more than enough brightness settings to accommodate any situation and the Shake Awake feature is awesome. Add to that, the optic turns itself off after only 10 minutes (compared to other brands that exceed 60 minutes), extending the battery life even more. The integration of a rear sight is a plus for those who must remove theirs to install an optic.

Exactly What's Expected From Streamlight
Written on May 23, 2025
Although some might argue Streamlight is expensive, it truly is a case of "You get what you pay for" when buying from them. As this was purchased with the sole intent of permanent residence on my home defense pistol, I wanted something that came with trust and proven reliability. So far, I haven't been disappointed - thankfully I haven't been in a home-defense situation, but I'm confident this light will perform. It was really simple to install on my X-Macro Comp (1913 version with the number 4 insert), as well as programming the strobe function and learning how to activate it quickly. The light is extremely bright (500 Lumens) which allows me to quickly acquire the threat and the surrounding area. The strobe function works really well and will definitely disorient the threat, giving you precious seconds to eliminate any threat you may face.

Seems Like it Would Do The Trick
Written on May 23, 2025
I haven't fully installed this on my current build. I have however, test fit it to determine its ease of installation and aesthetics with my build. The FDE color is very similar to the other FDE products on my build - Magpul grip primarily. However, due to the shape of this end plate, not much surface area is left for the castle nut (~1/8") to properly torque down. I have recently purchased an armorer's wrench and magazine block with the intent of completing the install in the near future. The end plate seems to be well made and the part that protrudes into the lower receiver to assist with holding it in place is longer than a MIL-Spec end plate (which helps to keep it in place).

Two Builds In and Still a Very Nice Product
Written on May 23, 2025
I have purchased the Pivot/Takedown Pins for two separate builds. Easy to install, FDE color looks really nice, and they function perfectly. I would highly recommend this product.
