Can the buffer tube be unscrewed off the adapter? Or is it all one piece?

SB Tactical does not specify if the tube can be removed, but they do sell just the adapter with out the tube that will allow you to use the tube of your choice or use a brace like the SBA-3 or SBA-4. The link below is just the adapter without the brace or tube.

It is not adjustable. The brace is friction fit to the tube and can slide but it does not lock into place.
