What size T nut needs to be purchased in order for this to work?

As per the manufacturer - If your stock has only one sling stud another can be easily installed using any T-nut and Allen screw found at most hardware stores. I'd recommend reaching out to Seekins Precision directly for more information.

Is this a good product for a Bergara HMR PRO or is there a better option

The Bergara HMR PRO has two swivel suds in the forend of the stock. Seekins Precision Universal Bipod Mount requires the use of two holes. So in order for the Seekins Precision Universal Bipod Mount to fit you will need enough space for the mount with the first stud and space to drill a second hole in the stock. It should work with that rifle but will need to measure the distance between studs to confirm.

What is the hole spacing for this device. I need at least a three inch gap.
