Guide Rods and Recoil Springs are typically selected separately in order to custom-tune gun performance. As a result, the manufacturer has chosen not to include them in this kit.

Most people needing this kit are looking for backup parts in the event of a failure in the field, or to complete a custom build. The guide rod is a more customizable part compared to the rest of the upper parts so a basic guide rod is generally not needed/wanted, nor is it common to need one in the field due to a failure.
