Will this upper only be paired with a sharps bros handguard? I bought a utg pro handguard and it wasn't compatible.

The Sharps Bros. Upper Receiver Ar-15 Billet W/dust Cover will be compatible with the Sharps Bros Handguard. Due to the problem you are having fitting the handguard to the Sharps Bros. Upper Receiver Ar-15 Billet W/dust Cover I recommend contacting Sharps Bros. in regards to what other handguards they recommend. From what information I could find the SLR handguards like the ones at the link below have worked with this upper receiver.

Yes, the Midwest Industries AR-15 Free Float 1-Piece Combat Rail Handguard will work with Mil-Spec AR15 upper receivers. So it will work with the Sharps Bros. Upper Receiver Ar-15 Billet W/dust Cover.

Is the SBUR4 upper compatible with the BCM MCMR Rail?

Yes the SBUR04 will work with that rail. The SBUR04 has a mil-spec front end. This product listing here though is for the SBUR03 - which has an enlarged front end to match the profile of the Sharps Bros ultralite handguard series. I do not know if the BCM will fit the SBUR03. To be safe, get the SBUR04.

Will this upper fit the strike industries gridlock lite handguard?

The Strike Industries Gridlock handguard will work with some Billet Upper Receivers. So that handguard might work with the Sharps Bros. Upper Receiver Ar-15 Billet W/dust Cover but fitment cannot be guraranteed.

Will geissele mk4 handrails fit in this upper recover or is some machines required

The rear facing tabs on the Mk4 handguard would likely interfere with this SBUR03 model. The Sharps Bros SBUR04 upper will fit the MK4 just fine.

This is a billet upper receiver and is compatible with any standard AR-15 lower receiver including all mil-spec options and Sharps lowers. If you have a billet lower receiver, perfect fitment cannot be guaranteed as billet receivers by different manufacturers can have slight variances in tolerances.
