The SIG SAUER Elite Match Grade .308 Winchester 175 grain Open Tip Match Brass Cased Centerfire Rifle Ammunition has a small opening at the tip and is designed for target shooting. A hollow point bullet has a wider opening and is designed to expand on impact.

No. The open tip on match ammo is a result of the bullet making process, ensuring the proper weight distribution front to rear. They are not designed to expand for greater lethality.
