The SIG SAUER Elite Performance 9 mm Luger 124 grain Full Metal Jacket Brass Cased Centerfire Pistol Ammunition can be used in Sig Firearms chambered in 9mm. Sig will recommend using their brand of ammo with their firearms because they manufacturer both. However, other brands of ammo can be used in their firearms as long as the firearm is chambered for the ammo you are using.

the only thing that matters is matching caliber (obviously don't force a 9mm into a. 380 chamber)
bullet weight, material and quality control.
I prefer 90gr solid copper 9mm and recommend Fort Scott Munitions.
some people prefer PMC 124gr sfx hollow points.
all that matters is that your ammunition is of good quality and consistent quality.
