I see the range is 800 yards. What happens if I want to shoot 1000 yards? Will the program be useless at that distance? — 3 Answers

Hi,
As I can see the max range with KILO2400BDX 3400 yards.
So, data will be collected up to this range.
Thank You.

800 yards is the maximum effective range using only the BDX rangefinder and riflescope. Beyond 800 yards, wind direction and speed, coriolis force, and atmospheric conditions play a larger part and must be accounted for. The BDX system (in BDX External mode) can incorporate these unputs (and utilize the full Applied Ballistics suite) found in the Kestrel 5700 Elite and Garmin Foretrex 701 for extended range firing solutions.

I called Sig and they said that if you purchased the Kilo 8K or the Kilo 10K range finders, they already have extended shooting solutions in these 2 range finders that worked with the scopes out to infinitive distance
