You could, but for hunting deer you would be better off with a soft point bullet.

What are the muzzle velocities out of a 5.5in, 8in, 10in, 16in and 20in? I want to know if this supersonic ammo can be made subsonic. Subs are over $2

Sig Sauer does not state the muzzle velocities for different length barrels. I recommend contacting Sig for muzzle velocities in various length barrels for the SIG SAUER Elite Ball .300 AAC Blackout 125 grain ammo.
