Is a barrel nut included with this handguard?

The barrel nut is not included. This uses the factory barrel nut on the Sig M400 Tread rifle. Unfortunately Sig does not sell the barrel nut separately at this time.

. I want to lace it up with longest length on sides and the top to back up the Picatinny it comes with for iron sites Which one would you recommend?

yes, this would be the best option. unless you want the shorter handguard for less lace the sides. either option would work great, and look so so good!

According to Sig the SIG SAUER Factory Replacement M-LOK Handguard for M400 TREAD will not work with the original Sig M400.

The Sig Sauer Factory Replacement M-LOK Handguard for M400 TREAD comes with two replacement screws but does not include a barrel nut. The Sig Sauer Factory Replacement M-LOK Handguard for M400 TREAD is designed to work with the barrel nut that came from the factory on the Sig M400 TREAD. So if this is being used on another AR you will need a barrel nut.

The 10" model of the Sig Sauer Factory Replacement M-LOK Handguard will fit the Sig M400 TREAD Pistol. However, it is the same handguard that comes on the M400 TREAD Pistol from the factory.

Will the sig tread 13” handguard work on a non 10.5” non sig upper?

The Sig Sauer Factory Replacement M-LOK Handguard for M400 TREAD will work on other AR upper receivers. However, the handguard does not come with a barrel nut, so you will need to purchase one for install. The 13" model could be used on a 10.5" barrel upper but the handguard will pass the muzzle.
