It isn't really any different in weight, it just has more mounting points and a different appearance.

Received the 15 inch version today and weighed both. The 15 inch lightweight rail is 6oz lighter then the factory rail.

According to the Sig Tread Accessories video on the Tread website the 13 inch is 45% lighter and the 15 inch is 40% lighter.

I would assume it is roughly 30% lighter since it is skeletonized the full length of the hand guard instead of just over half the length like the factory default guard.
