Can this work well on a Henry AR7

It will not as the mount on top of the Henry AR-7 is a 3/8" dovetail. You will need an adapter to mount this. Please email us at techsales@opticsplanet.com and we can provide an adapter to use this Sightmark.

We would recommend potentially looking at a red dot that is more recommended for that type of application. Something like the Sightmark Ultra Shot would be a better option.

It will not work on a handgun unless the handgun has a picatinny rail mounted on top.

Is the battery replaced on the top? Meaning can you replace the battery without removing the sight?

The battery is installed in a tray on the side of the optic. You can replace it without removing the sight from the firearm.
