Could I use this to find owls?

This side focus wheel is meant for Sightron riflescopes and allows for the user to adjust the side focus on their Sightron scope with ease. This is the only purpose this part serves.

I’m looking for a side wheel that will fit a M800 Nikon scope. I believe that the inside diameter on the parallax turret is 35mm. Any thoughts?
